Amethyst Buddha

Amethyst is derived from the Greek word ämetusthos which translates to “not intoxicated”. Legend has it that a beautiful woman named Amethyst was turned into a white crystal by the Gods to protect her from the wine God Baccus in an agnry drunken stooper.  He poured his wine over her and it turned purple- giving Amethyst its color. These stones are said to have a sobering effect when worn which can make them a great hangover prevention tool or cure.
